Final Thoughts

As we have seen, there are several potential ways to deal with the wild horse situation. Some viable – some not.

As an organization devoted to saving the wild horses, Slaughter is not not something that the Let ’em Run Foundation is prepared to tolerate. Instead, we feel that a combination of Adoption, Birth Control and Sanctuaries/Safe Havens are a much better solution.

While perhaps not the be-all/end-all solution to the problems, the combination of these methods will give horse management organizations the opportunity to fine-tune current management methods and the time necessary to find new ways to deal with the relationship between man and wild horse.
