Let ’em Run Foundation Hosts Horseman Ernie Fanning

VIRGINIA CITY HIGHLANDS, NV — Let ’em Run and Mitchell-Collins Productions were please to host legendary Nevada horseman and premier cowboy poet, Ernie Fanning and his lovely wife Kay, along with 30 top Wild Horse advocates.

Mitchell-Collins filmed Ernie's story for a pilot program for a PBS “Vanishing Voices” series we hope to promote. Called by some a “Mustanger”, and with years of experience as an old time buckaroo, Ernie entertained all at Lacy’s ranch on the Comstock. Ernie, colorful and outspoken as always, told his view of the story of the Comstock Wild Horses. Fanning and other “Mustangers” ran horses on the Comstock for many years before the intervention of “Wild Horse Annie” and horse advocacy groups.
